Safety is always a key concern when producing our glass balustrades. After all, a balustrade that can’t support the weight of someone leaning on it is generally agreed to be unfit for purpose, and quite right too. Quality assurance is a central principle to our business, and it’s one that we apply at every stage of all our projects, from concept right through to completion.
One of the many ways we continually ensure your safety here at Elite Balustrades is by keeping everything in-house. We don’t outsource to any other companies, UK or otherwise, but design and manufacture everything ourselves using only the finest materials, so that we can be absolutely certain of the quality involved. Right from the initial enquiry, our in-house design team dedicates their full attention to your project, whether bespoke or otherwise. We use computer-aided design (CAD) visuals to produce a digital mockup of your balustrade before production, so that we know what we’re doing and so that you, the client, can see what the final product will look like. It’s during this design stage that we take the time to understand the build, as well as your personal specifications for the project.
We also carry out a full assessment on each one of our products before they’re released onto the wider market, so that we can be certain of their safety. We use toughened glass or toughened laminated glass that varies in thickness depending on the type of system. They are all subject to this same stringent testing that we carry out on every one of our glass balustrade projects, meaning that you can be certain of not only your own safety, but also that of your family and friends.
All of our glass balustrades adhere to the ISO 9001 Certification for Quality Management Systems. Presented by the Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance, it’s awarded to businesses who can prove their ability to continually “provide products and services that meet the needs of their customers and relevant stakeholders.” In other words, it’s not something that just anyone can get – they need to be able to demonstrate their commitment to their product, their customers and their market, which is something we’re proud to say that we at Elite Balustrade have achieved year on year.
Our glass balustrade systems also meet all Building Regulations and Standards (including BS6399 and BS6180), and bear CE accreditation. CE stands for Conformité Européene, and signifies that our balustrades meet the European standards of safety, health and environmental regulations that EU legislation demands in order for us to be able to trade on the European single market. While economic zones might not be a huge concern to you, this basically means that you can be sure of yet another layer of official approval confirming the safety and quality of our products.
We don’t pick and choose the standards to apply to our products – our quality assurance and safety applies to our entire range of glass balustrades solutions.
