EDGE MOUNT MINI POST – TILE MOUNTED

A stylish yet economical alternative to the channel design, the Mini-Post offers excellent value for a frameless glass balustrade without compromising on quality or safety. Instead of an aluminium channel, two glass brackets hold each panel in place. These are manufactured from Marine Grade 2205 Duplex stainless steel which offers superior corrosion resistance in coastal locations, or in areas with high chloride, humidity and pollution levels.

OVAL BASE MOUNTED MINI POST – PARAPET WALL MOUNT

Available in four fixing designs, the Elite Mini Post offers a fixing solution for your frameless glazed balustrade, no matter what the application. The most popular and orginial Mini Post design is our base mounted design. This actually comes in two base designs, the Oval Base Mini Post was the first design introduced by Elite Balustrade Systems to the UK market back non 2014. With just two fixing points per Mini Post this easy to install Mini Post is suitable to for fixing on many bases such as Patios, Parapet Walls, Decking and internally on Mezzanine or Landing areas. Now available like all our Mini Post solutions with the TiltLock system that allows for easy alignment of your glass panels.

SQUARE BASE MINI POST BALUSTRADE – TILE MOUNTED

The Square Mounted design was introduced a couple of years later. This design was conceived when looking for a more convenient means of fixing the Mini Post to a deck structure. Using a thinner profile of fixing footprint, the four fixing points are ideal for use on decking, to enable a secure fixing to a 6″ profile joist without the need for extra noggins to be introduced to the decking frame. This design is now our most popular design of Mini Post and most adaptable solution of all our Balustrade offerings.

The Mini Post design also is ideal for use with curved Frameless Balustrade panels. All the four main fixing styles can take curved panels. Without the need to curve the fixing profile, as normally required on glazing channel profiles. You can create a curved glazed balustrade guard with reduced expense. To save additional costs you can even consider for larger radius curves, straight panels. The image above is an example of this and for large areas is a cost effective means of creating that curved effect.

PARAPET WALL SIDE MOUNT MINI POST – GOLF CLUB HOUSE

The Side Mount Mini Post is a great alternative and stylish alternative to the infinity style glazing channel solution, where the get a true feel of the glazing coming from the edge of your platform or wall, without any visible gaps or fixings. This solution mounts the glass using side fixed Mini Post brackets usually on the outside of the terrace below the platform. This design is one of the must stunning effects you will get with any frameless balustrade, while maintaining your budget and keeping costs relatively low. This design is ideal for fixing into masonry or concrete using chemical anchor studs / threaded bar. It can also be easily adapted to be installed into steel beams and joists. The image to the above shows the discrete fixing method with the inclusion of a curved section along the far terrace area.

The side mount fix has also been used as an alternative to a Juliet Balcony when installed for openings too large for more traditional Juliet solutions. The design below was a recent project local to our Blackburn head-office. This bespoke design was the perfect solution for this project, meeting the fixing challenges for the bi-fold opening on the 1st Floor living area. The inclusion of side panels also finished the design in compliance to building regulations that stipulates that any gaps or opening in safety rail designs need to be less than 100mm. This was easily achieved by the use of our corner glass stiffeners and bracket supports.

SIDE MOUNT MINI POST – JULIET ALTERNATIVE

If you are looking to install a Mini Post over a large area into a concrete base and wish to minimise the base profile, an alternative solution can be used. The Core Mount Mini Post, is a great solution for larger commercial installs. The contractor can core drill holes into the platform and the Core Mount fixing is set into place with a resin post fix. This solution has also been very popular with our international customers who installs usually involve concrete set buildings. Below is an example of such a project we helped to design and supply to the Caribbean Island of Trinidad using the Core Mount Mini Post with the low profile base plate.

The Edge Mount Mini Post is an innovation from Elite Balustrade that was created for use with our Innovative Qwickbuild Decking system. This design is an adaptation the base / core mount designs, allowing for a side fix that is required when used with the aluminium Qwickbuild deck substructure. The design creates a unique edge fix solution and is adaptable for other edge mount fixes on traditional timber decks and concrete terraces and balconies. Examples of this is seen on the top image and the last three images below.
