A GARDEN PATIO BALUSTRADE SOLUTION
This week we have had some fun designing a bespoke garden patio balustrade for a not so straight forward shaped area. With five sides and three corners to include in the design we had to make sure the whole balustrade system would fit perfectly with the given project area.
After listening to the customer’s requirements and their vision of what the area could look like, a brainstorming session with our in-house design team followed and we decided to utilise our well-known stainless steel framed glass balustrade. A low maintenance solution: quick and easy to install, it would create a robust glass railing structure for the raised garden patio area including a handrail installed along the top of the glass panels.

Because of the stainless steel posts supporting each panel, only a 10mm glass thickness is required, keeping the cost of the glass at a reduced rate and making it an economical solution for a modern garden patio balustrade system.
This particular glass balustrade system is very easy to customise, even with a quirky shaped area. Thanks to a vast selection of glass clamps at our disposal we were able to create the five sides and three corners very easily, ensuring the design remained streamlined as well as pleasing to the eye.

For this design we decided to base mount the garden patio balustrade to the concrete structure already in place. The base of the stainless steel posts are secured in place utilising three bolt screws per posts. These are then covered with a stainless steel plate meaning that there are no screws visible once installation is complete; once again demonstrating that wow factor our glass balustrade systems are renowned for in the domestic market. The posts, glass clamps and handrail utilised are manufactured from superior quality grade 316 stainless steel, perfect for an external balustrade solution, with higher corrosion resistance and low maintenance lifespan.
