Composite Decking Solution for a Roof Top Terrace

This week we have been fortunate enough to witness some stunning views overlooking the Liverpool Docks whilst installing our Qwickbuild and Resortdeck composite decking solutions for a roof top terrace project. It was fantastic to see the work in progress and witness how we’ve made decking a whole lot easier, even for the most complex design scenarios.

Composite Decking Rooftop Terrace

One of the main challenges faced by the client in his decision to install a decking system was building over a waterproof membrane. We were able to present our client with the perfect solution to this problem with our Qwickbuild decking system. The frame for this is manufactured from marine grade aluminium and is 100% unaffected by moisture providing greater stability and durability. Furthermore, if complications are experienced after installation and the membrane needs to be inspected, our Qwickbuild system enables the decking to be removed and reinstalled easily without creating the need for replacements or repairs. Being seven floors up was another major consideration for installation. Due to its light weight, we were able to offer an easy solution to this without the need for hiring expensive plant and labour by delivering the base frame in sections.

With a sigh of relief from our client that installation was that easy and affordable, even for a 7 storey high roof terrace, we advised on which decking to choose. Our Resortdeck range was introduced as a perfect solution for living in an elevated coastal location. This composite decking product is technically advanced with a premium shielding encasing all four sides around the inner core offering increased durability against rot, cracks, and splintering. It also offers superior UV resistance which means the colour you choose remains that colour for longer without the need for lots of care and maintenance.

Speaking of colour, our Resortdeck range includes a choice of 5: Byron, Caribbean, Havannah, Seasalt, and Storm. For this project we recommended Seasalt and we were able to provide our client with 3D images of how their roof terrace would look once finished.  As the project takes shape, we are able to see the accuracy of our CAD department’s work in helping clients turn their ideas into achievable designs and realities.

We look forward to seeing the project complete in the next few days and our clients enjoying their new outdoor living area overlooking Liverpool Docks.
