When planning a balustrade system for your home, it’s important to stay on the right side of planning laws and building regulations. This week on the blog, we’re taking a look at applicable height regulations for each of our balustrade systems.

Our Juliet balconies are a popular choice for customers in urban, suburban and townhouse properties, offering homeowners an affordable and attractive way to open up upstairs lounges and bedrooms.

A minimum height of 1.1m is required by the building regulation standards for a domestic Juliet balcony. In terms of maximum height, we recommend 1.4m for a framed balustrade system and 1.2m for a frameless system.

And, while a stainless steel mini rail is not required for our frameless Juliet balcony, we recommend checking with your local building inspector to find out whether it would be preferred.
